The LINC Coordinator (Coquitlam) contributes to the successful delivery of the LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) stage 1 (levels 1 –4) program at the Douglas College Coquitlam campus.
Receiving direction from and working with the Community and Contract Services Programmer (CCSP), the LINC Coordinator will work with all LINC staff to ensure the program achieves required contract outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates the day-to-day delivery of LINC including class scheduling, attendance monitoring and waitlist management;
Ensures the achievement of contractual outcomes;
Provides direction and guidance to instructional staff re PBLA (Project Based Language Assessment), acting as a PBLA Lead for the LINC program;
Lead program teams and ensure all teams function as a synchronized unit, with clear communication and coordination between instructional, administrative support and other team members;
Collect and report on program statistics and provide reports to CCSP;
Stay up to date on IRCC policy and ensure IRCC policies and procedures are implemented in the program;
Assist with iCARE training and implementation;
Participate in Training Group’s Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015);
Participate in community and inter-disciplinary groups as they relate to LINC or language training for newcomers throughout the Lower Mainland;
Provide support and direction to Clients on an as needed basis; and
