Job summary

Kickstart Entertainment is seeking a Lighting & Comp Supervisor to lead artistic and technical execution across lighting, rendering, and compositing. You will collaborate with the Director, Producer, and creatives to establish and maintain the production's visual language from kickoff to final delivery.

The role emphasizes balancing creative ambition with schedule realities, mentoring artists, and ensuring technical and aesthetic quality across shots and episodes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production experience in lighting and compositing for CG animation or VFX.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating lighting, color, composition, and shot continuity.
• Advanced proficiency in Maya or comparable 3D software, with experience using Arnold or other renderers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Lighting & Comp phase, setting clear artistic and technical objectives for the team.
• Translate creative vision into lighting and compositing standards, including looks, templates, rigs, and render strategies.
• Establish the look of sequences, prepare kickoff materials, and communicate expectations to internal and partner studios.
• Review lighting scripts and passes, provide actionable feedback, and approve work for delivery.
• Mentor Lighting & Comp artists, support scheduling, and manage workload with Production.
