About the role

Based in Edmonton, we are seeking a Light-Gauge Steel Detailer to join our motivated and enthusiastic team. Durabuilt is excited to provide a great opportunity to grow your career in the fastest growing part of the framing industry.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Domestic and/or Commercial Design/Detailing Experience.
  • Experience in CAD and other relevant software.
  • General understanding of the Construction Industry.
  • Knowledge about the Light Gauge Steel and Structural Steel Industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Building Code and Relevant Canadian Standards is an asset.
  • Civil or Structural Engineering Degree is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Architectural Technologist is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Motivated and Enthusiastic Attitude with a willingness to learn and commit to the overall success of Durabuilt.

Duties:

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Understand and interpret architectural and structural drawings and documentation.
  • Communicating with clients to procure all information and complete any relevant RFI’s.
  • Produce accurate layout drawings, 3D Models and Production Files
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, colleagues and all other relevant stakeholders.
