Job summary

Whitehorse Chamber is seeking an entry-level cleaner for a permanent, full-time role in Whitehorse, Yukon. The position involves cleaning hallways, floors, windows, washrooms and common areas, with a 35-40 hour work week and a wage of CAD 24.64 per hour.

Training and safety guidelines will be provided, and candidates should be prepared to handle basic cleaning tasks daily. The ideal candidate will have a secondary school education and may benefit from prior cleaning experience; a criminal record

• At least 6 months cleaning experience preferred.
• Criminal record check required for safety.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, clean hallways, floors, and stairs.
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
• Vacuum carpeted areas, rugs, mats and upholstery.
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
• Clean and disinfect washroom and fixtures.
• Handle/report lost and found items.
• Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment.
• Perform other related general cleaning duties
