Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Light Duty Cleaner to joining our facilities team. You will perform cleaning tasks in designated areas, including dusting, mopping, washing fixtures, empties and carpet vacuuming, following safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has cleaning experience, can communicate clearly in writing and verbally, and works well as part of a team. This position requires reliability and physical ability to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player.
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum).
• Physically able to carry out duties of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties in designated areas.
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins.
• Complete periodic equipment checks.
• Observe/practice all health & safety procedures and policies.
• And all other tasks asked to perform by the manager or supervisor in charge.

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for cleaning tasks in designated areas of a building, including dusting, mopping, cleaning washroom fixtures, spot cleaning, emptying, and cleaning ashtrays and vacuuming carpets.

As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will:

• Perform general custodial requirements and any related duties as assigned (duties include but are not limited to use of various cleaning equipment, vacuuming, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, emptying waste receptacles and other common areas)
• Restock single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Complete periodic equipment checks
• Observe/practice all health & safety procedures and policies
• And all other tasks asked to perform by the manager or supervisor in charge

About you:

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be reliable, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player, willing to assist as needed
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment (ie. I-mop, vacuum.)
