Job summary

Teck Resources Limited in Trail, BC, Canada is seeking a Mobile Crane Operator to join our on-site team at Trail Operations. The role reports to the Group Leader, Mobile and Lift and requires living within 100 KM of Trail; relocation assistance is offered, with no company housing or camp provided.

You will operate mobile cranes up to 80 tonnes, perform crane maintenance, and work across multiple trades in a safety‑driven environment. Pay is hourly, with a comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

• Must hold Mobile Crane Operator Hydraulic 80 Tonnes and Under Certificate or Journeyperson Crane Operator Ticket with proof of certification.
• Requires a Class 3 Drivers License with air brake endorsement.
• Class 1 Driver's License is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
• Operate mobile cranes (up to 80 tonnes) to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials.
• Ability to perform minor to complex lifting of equipment with various types of rigging.
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.
• Ability to work within a flexible work environment with many trade disciplines.

Role Overview

Teck is looking for an experienced Mobile Crane Operator to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Group Leader, Mobile and Lift. This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Whether it’s biking and skiing, or the laid-back atmosphere of fishing and hiking, there is something for everyone. Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail, British, Columbia. Relocation assistance will be offered, however there is no camp or company housing.

Pay Range: $50.40 per hour

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
