Job summary

Teck's Trail Operations in Trail, British Columbia, is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The role reports to the Group Leader, Maintenance, and requires residency within 100 km of Trail.

Relocation assistance is available, but there is no company housing. You will install, calibrate, repair and maintain field instrumentation and final control elements within a large, integrated smelting complex.

Qualifications

• Inter-Provincial Red Seal Instrumentation Mechanic ticket required.
• Knowledge of Foxboro and ABB systems is an asset.
• Knowledge of Modicon PLCs and Wonderware HMIs is preferred.
• WHMIS certification required.
• Experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Role Overview

Teck is looking for an experienced Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Group Leader, Maintenance, the Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic is responsible for the below.

Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail. British, Columbia. Relocation assistance will be offered however there is no camp or company housing.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Install, calibrate, repair and maintain field instrumentation and final control elements
• Perform in a team-oriented environment of maintenance peers

Pay Range

CAD $52.48/hr

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
