We are looking for an experienced Lifting Equipment Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our fleet of handling and lifting equipment.Your expertise will be essential in keeping our equipment in optimal working condition and supporting our operations.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts, telehandlers, and aerial work platforms
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex failures in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems specific to lifting equipment
• Carry out precise adjustments, repairs, and component replacements, including welding and metal cutting when necessary
• Assist in the installation and upgrading of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and compliance with specifications
• Strictly adhere to occupational health and safety standards (OHS) and regulations specific to lifting equipment (e.g., CSA standards)
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and document all maintenance activities
• Provide high-quality technical support to clients and operators, offering guidance on routine equipment maintenance

Required Skills

• Vocational diploma in heavy equipment mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered as an equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in inspecting and servicing forklifts, telehandlers, and aerial work platforms
• Valid driver’s license
• Proficiency in advanced diagnostics, as well as in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems specific to lifting equipment
• Skills in welding, blueprint reading, and the use of diagnostic software

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with specific equipment brands (e.g., JLG, Genie, Skyjack, Caterpillar, Manitou)
• Certification in operating forklifts or aerial work platforms
