Do you enjoy working outside and speaking with guests from all over the world? We are looking to recruit Lift Operations Lead Hands for the upcoming winter season. Do you have at least one year of experience running chair lifts? You will support the Lift Operations Supervisors in daily operations and be stationed on one of our three lift-accessed mountains providing guests access to our world-renowned snow! Compensation Information: $22.10 per hour

Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 20 kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting (possible extreme cold).

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

Skills you bring with you:

  • Minimum of one previous season as a Lift Operator at Sun Peaks Resort or other resort.
  • A team player with proven supervisory and guest service skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong personal work ethic, keen eye for detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Valid BC class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the proper & safe operation of all passenger ropeways and conveyors.
  • Oversee and operate a given area as directed by the Lift Operations Managers/Lift Operations Supervisors.
  • Conduct quality control checks of the maze area, load/unload ramps, signage, operation of the lifts, operators, and safe loading and unloading of the guests.
  • Give direction to staff and possess the ability to follow up when necessary.
