Job summary

Northern Health is seeking a Lifeskills Support Worker to assist clients with life skills and psychosocial rehabilitation in community settings. The role emphasizes promoting independence and coordinating with partner agencies under supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a Community Social Service diploma, BC driver's license, CPR/First Aid/Food Safe certificates, and 2 years of related mental health experience or equivalent. Opportunities in BC communities.

Position Summary

Are you a Lifeskills Support Worker looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to Northern Health.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the position works with other community agencies and staff to assist clients with life skills and psychosocial rehabilitation interventions. A key component of this job is to ensure the well-being of individuals and families and to promote independent living while in the community.

Qualfications

• Diploma in Community Social Service.
• Class V BC Driver’s License.
• Certificates in CPR, First Aid and Food Safe.
• Two years recent, related experience in a mental health setting.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Ability to work in an independent living model with adults with mental illness.
