Lifemark Student Bursary

Lifemark believes in higher education! We are proud to be offering Lifemark's Student Bursary to participants in the pursuit of post-secondary education in the field of healthcare services as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist. This bursary is consistent with Lifemark's commitment to continuous learning and growth providing financial support to students who want to reach their highest potential.

What We are Offering:

  1. $5,000 bursary with a 1 year post-graduation commitment to be paid in one lump sum to the awarded applicant within 30 days of being awarded the bursary.
  2. $10,000 bursary with a 2 year post-graduation commitment to be paid in one lump sum to the awarded applicant within 30 days of being awarded the bursary.
  3. $15,000 bursary with a 3 year post-graduation commitment to be paid in one lump sum to the awarded applicant within 30 days of being awarded the bursary.

Who Can Apply:

  • Full-Time students in good academic standing.
  • Currently attending an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Masters program which is either:
    • Domestic: Canadian regulated institution
    • International: Program recognized by the regulatory college in the province the applicant plans to practice.
  • Applicant must currently be enrolled in their 1st year or first half of their 2nd year of a Masters PT or OT program.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada post graduation. If you are unable to meet this expectation, please email Campus.Recruitment@Lifemark.ca to learn of other possible opportunities.
  • Students prepared to commit to working with Lifemark Health Group for 1, 2 or 3 years following graduation.

Application Requirements:

  • Curriculum Vitae along with cover letter that includes the following:
    • Introduction of themselves and why they should be the recipient of the bursary.
    • Example(s) of demonstrated interest in and contribution in their community through active participation in volunteer activities at school and/or within their community.
  • At least 1 letter of reference from a community or educational member.
  • Proof of enrollment in their program (OT/PT).
  • List their top 3 locations they wish to be employed in by Lifemark Health Group. This is not a guarantee but will be taken into consideration. Regional commitment will be defined by the PL and RD.
