The YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador in Marystown is seeking full-time Lifeguards and Swim Instructors. You will deliver aquatic programs for a range of ages and abilities, emphasizing a safe, positive experience.

The role may be physically demanding, with frequent entry into the water. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, lifeguard and swim instructor experience, current Standard First Aid and National Lifeguard, and are flexible for evenings and weekends.

• High school diploma or equivalent (or in progress).
• Experience as lifeguard and swim instructor; YMCA offers free training.
• Demonstrated safety consciousness.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Current Swim Instructor Certificate is an asset (training provided).
• Current Standard First Aid.
• Current National Lifeguard.
• Clear Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Jump Recruitment Specialists has partnered with YMCA of Newfoundland and Labrador in their search for Full Time Lifeguards/Swim Instructors in Marystown, NL. The successful incumbents will instruct aquatic programs for a variety of ages and abilities. Aquatics staff are responsible to provide an overall safe and positive experience for swimmers. This position may be physically demanding at times, requiring you to be in and out of the water frequently.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (or in progress)
• Previous experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor (YMCA will provide FREE Training)
• Demonstrated safety conscious mindset
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Available to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Current Swim Instructor Certificate an asset (YMCA will provide FREE training)
• Current Standard First Aid
• Current National Lifeguard
• Acceptable Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sectors Check
