Qualifications

The Town of Fairview is seeking an energetic and responsible individual to join our Aquatics team at the Fairview Regional Aquatic Centre as an L1 – Lifeguard (Lifeguard only) or L2 -Lifeguard/Instructor (Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor).

Duties:

1. Put into action the principles and practice of lifesaving, lifeguarding, and first aid.
2. Ensure accident prevention through appropriate safety supervision.
3. Enforce facility rules and policies to the public.
4. Perform cleaning and maintenance to optimize facility operation.
5. Help to facilitate aquatics programming and pool events.
6. Attend and contribute to regular staff training events.
7. Be available to work daytime, evening, and/or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 16 years of age
2. Intermediate First Aid with CPR Level C
3. National Lifeguard – Pool
4. Lifesaving Society Swimming Instructor (or willingness to obtain)

Additional Notes

Hours of work & Wage:
This position is Part-Time, working between 6-20 hours per week, and may consist of daytime, evening, and/or weekend shifts depending upon candidate availability. The L1 – Lifeguard position (Lifeguard only) starts at $20.50/hour, and the L2 -Lifeguard/Instructor position (Lifeguard & Swimming Instructor) starts at $22.43/hour.
