Job description

Your Opportunity:

As a member of the Allied Health & Patient Experience team within Recreation Facilities, the Casual Lifeguard will support a variety of aquatic programs, as well as maintain overall inventory of equipment and supplies within recreation facilities and across the site at AHE. The successful candidate will provide a safe and engaging atmosphere based upon recovery orientated care principles for patients within the Adult Acute, Young Adult Services, Forensics, and Rehabilitations Services at AHE.

Description:

As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for the safety, security and well-being of patients while in the Recreation Facilities area. You will plan, prepare and implement aquatic activities and treatment interventions with other care providers with a commitment to patient and family centred care and customer service. You will also be responsible for overall maintenance of the Recreation Facilities and the equipment within the department.

Required Qualifications:

Experience working with individuals with addictions and mental health concerns. Strong patient and family centered approach. Ability to work within a collaborative team environment. Demonstration of punctuality, dependability and attendance record verifiable by references.
