A day in the life of a Life Enrichment Assistant:

You will bring your vibrant, creative self to work daily, enriching residents' lives through personalized opportunities and experiences. You will support the delivery of engaging and innovative recreation programs.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting the delivery and facilitation of various programs and events.
• Creating daily activity communications.
• Building connections with residents, families, and team members.
• Driving the bus for community outings.
• Supporting administrative tasks.

How will we support you?

• Opportunities to earn certifications in StrongerU land fitness, WaterART aquatic fitness, Lay Rescuer training, food and beverage service, and obtaining a specialized class driver's license.

What you will bring:

• A degree/diploma in Gerontology, Therapeutic Recreation, Activation, Recreation, Sociology, or Psychology (preferred).
• Experience in geriatric programming is an asset.
• Knowledge of wellness dimensions and programming adaptations for cognitive, physical, and sensory impairments.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and leading fitness programs.
• Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in promoting healthy lifestyles and independence among seniors.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Publisher, Excel).
