Job description

Our client is seeking a Licensed Insurance Sales Advisor – Life & Personal Lines to join a high-performing insurance agency in the Burlington area. This opportunity is designed for an insurance professional who holds both an LLQP licence and either a RIBO or OTL licence and enjoys a fast-paced, sales-focused environment where strong performance is rewarded.

The role combines life and health insurance sales with personal lines insurance. While Home and Auto are an important part of the position, the organization is placing increased emphasis on Life, Accident & Sickness, Critical Illness, Health and Dental, and related financial protection solutions.

You will work with active prospects and an established client base rather than relying primarily on cold calling or self-generated marketing. The focus is on understanding client needs, educating clients on available insurance solutions, providing appropriate recommendations, and building long-term relationships.

This is a full-time, in-office position in Burlington. The successful candidate will receive a base salary of $60,000 plus commission and performance-based bonus opportunities.

The Employer

Our client is an independently operated insurance agency with a strong track record of performance and a large, established client base. The office operates in a collaborative, energetic environment where employees are expected to work hard, support one another, and take ownership of their results.

The organization provides structured training, active sales opportunities, and ongoing support to help licensed professionals grow across multiple insurance product lines. The culture is professional but approachable, with an emphasis on accountability, integrity, client service, and doing what is right for the customer.

About You

You are a licensed insurance professional who enjoys speaking with clients and is comfortable working in a high-volume environment. You know how to build rapport over the phone, ask good questions, explain insurance products clearly, and help clients make informed decisions.

You are motivated by achieving goals and increasing your earnings, but you do not rely on aggressive sales tactics. You are comfortable being held accountable for your activity and results and are willing to make the calls and follow-ups required to reach your targets.

You are dependable, coachable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team. You appreciate clear training and direction but are also able to take ownership of your work once you have learned the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
  • Educate clients on Life, Accident & Sickness, Health, Critical Illness, Home, Auto, and related insurance products
  • Follow up with active prospects and existing clients by phone
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional insurance solutions based on client needs
  • Build strong relationships and provide a professional client experience
  • Work toward monthly and annual sales and production targets
  • Maintain accurate and complete client and policy documentation
  • Meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Follow established insurance, licensing, compliance, and documentation requirements
  • Participate in ongoing product, sales, and systems training
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive, high-performing office environment
Necessary Qualifications Include
  • Current LLQP licence
  • Current OTL licence or RIBO licence with willingness and ability to transition to OTL
  • Previous sales experience
  • Strong telephone communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Ability to explain insurance products clearly and professionally
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working toward sales targets
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated reliability
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Previous Life Insurance sales experience is an asset, but extensive product experience is not required for a candidate who is licensed, coachable, comfortable speaking with clients, and demonstrates strong sales potential.

Additional language skills may be helpful when serving a diverse client base but are not required.

What’s in It for You
  • $60,000 base salary
  • Commission on eligible insurance sales
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Established client base and active prospect opportunities
  • No requirement to rely primarily on cold calling or door-to-door prospecting
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing development
  • Opportunity to grow your earnings through Life and Personal Lines production
  • Paid time off
  • Three weeks of vacation to start plus sick days
  • Career advancement and professional growth opportunities
  • Supportive, collaborative office culture
  • Monday to Friday daytime schedule
