Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a strong leader to grow and guide the Compliance & Licensing team in Halifax. The role focuses on expanding the compliance program, mentoring staff, and managing licensing functions across licensed facilities.

The candidate will leverage broad knowledge of policies, programs and legislation to mitigate risks and ensure priorities are met. Excellent verbal and written communication are essential for success in this leadership position.

Qualifications

• University degree required.
• Several years of leadership experience at supervisory/managerial level.
• Experience with Licensing and/or compliance is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inform and continue to build the Compliance & Licensing team.
• Define, develop and deliver strategies in the expansion of the compliance program.
• Mentor, coach, and monitor your team to ensure priorities and objectives are met.
• Identify and mitigate risks through compliance functions.
• Oversee licensing functions for licensed facilities.
• Provide leadership by utilizing a broad knowledge of policies, programs and legislation.
