Job summary

Trailcon Leasing Inc. is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician for day shifts in Ontario.

The role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical, brake, suspension, and hydraulic systems on trailers, performing preventative maintenance, and completing work orders with digital tools. Candidates should hold a Journeyperson or Licensed Transport Trailer Technician credential, have experience reading electrical diagrams, and possess a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson or licensed transport trailer technician with certification.
• Experience reading electrical diagrams or schematics.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience with Thermo King and Carrier units is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair trailer electrical, brake, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on trailers.
• Use maintenance software and tablets to complete work orders efficiently.
• Provide repair recommendations and solutions to customers.
• Collaborate with a safety- and quality-focused team to minimize downtime.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Diagnosing and repairing trailer - electrical, brake, suspension, and hydraulic systems
• Performing preventative maintenance and inspections on trailers units
• Using maintenance software and tablets to complete work orders efficiently
• Providing recommendations and repair solutions to customers
• Working alongside an experienced team focused on safety, quality, and customer service
• Keeping equipment operating safely and minimizing customer downtime

What We're Looking For

• Journeyperson or Licensed Transport Trailer Technician
• Experience with Thermo King and Carrier units considered an asset
• Welding, fabrication, electrical, and mechanical experience
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract
