We are currently looking to fill a Casual opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse at Eagle Ridge Hospital located in Port Moody, B.C..

Eagle Ridge Hospital: As a community hospital, Eagle Ridge Hospital provides primary and secondary acute care and some specialty services that can be accessed with or without referrals, such as 24/7 emergency, diagnostics, inpatient and outpatient care in general medicine, rehabilitation, surgery, and other specialty services such as urology, plastics, and orthopedics.

Performs practical nursing duties such as assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care for patients undergoing oscopy, minor surgical procedures, wound care, and other outpatient procedures; assists with the admission of patients to procedure/consultation rooms and performs intra-procedure/consultation for patients undergoing oscopy, in accordance with established standards and protocols.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Education and Experience
Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). One (1) year recent relevant clinical experience in minor surgical procedures or other outpatient procedures and completion of relevant coursework and/or certification, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current basic cardiac life support certification.
