Under the direction of the Unit/Program Manager or designate and in collaboration as a member of a multidisciplinary team, the LPN performs assessments, plans and provides personal care, and performs nursing procedures. The LPN functions in accordance with the competency guidelines and scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and according to agency operating policies, standards, and unit-specific protocols. This position rotates through the Cast Room, Minor Treatment, Cystoscopy, and Recovery.
New Wage: As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $32.84 - $41.35/hour
Dawson Creek & District Hospital is a 50-bed hospital offering full services including inpatient care, emergency, respiratory, rehab, surgery, obstetrics & gynecology, lab, medical imaging, and cancer care. The hospital is the northeastern BC orthopedic and trauma centre. Visiting specialists in urology, dermatology, and pediatrics are also available.
