Work Schedule: Days, with an evening and weekend rotation

What you’ll be doing:

Our LPNs provide medical care to children, youth, adults, and seniors in their homes and other settings across Nova Scotia, including:

  • Diabetes management
  • Dialysis
  • Medication management
  • Palliative care
  • Phlebotomy
  • Wound care; including negative pressure wound therapy and complex wounds
  • ...and much more
What we need from you:
  • Must be Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice
  • Experience in community health is an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required; a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or a Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Work conditions and physical demands: This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment. Physical activities include lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements emphasizing good body mechanics. Individuals are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
