Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices according to the standards of professional practice and code of ethics outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), within a patient- and family-centered care model. The LPN, as part of the multidisciplinary team, provides care to persons experiencing substance use and mental health disorders. The LPN performs assessments, plans, implements, and provides personal and nursing care under the supervision of the Program Lead (or designate) or RN/RPN.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, Days, 08:00 to 16:00

Dawson Creek & District Hospital

Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full-service community hospital serving Dawson Creek and surrounding communities, with 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. It is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include:

  • Emergency
  • ICU
  • Day Surgery
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • Primary Care
  • Acute Care
  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Laboratory

Visiting specialists include Urology, Dermatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
