Job description

Temporary LPN required for seniors' living facility.

Green Acres Foundation is seeking a team-oriented multi-tasker who is flexible, enthusiastic, has great leadership skills, and a positive attitude to help as a Licensed Practical Nurse at our facility in Coaldale, Alberta.

Does this sound like you? If it is, you'll perform duties that require considerable confidentiality, initiative, tact, and independent judgement. We are a self-motivated bunch who finds coming to work fun, so strong interpersonal and organizational skills are a MUST.

This is a temporary position with an anticipated end date of February 17, 2026. This position averages 19 hours per week over a 6-week rotation, with opportunities to work more hours depending on availability.

Basic responsibilities of the position include:

  • Overseeing and providing direction to HCAs following a Care Plan
  • Providing direct care and support to residents
  • Monitor, assess, and report changes in resident's health
  • Respond to emergency calls as required
  • Distribute medications to residents
  • Assisting residents with daily activities, including therapeutic regimes
  • Complete all necessary charting, paperwork, and reporting in a clear, concise, and timely manner using electronic charting

Requirements for the position:

  • Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma
  • Annual proof of active registration with CLPNA
  • Current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (within the last 6 months)
  • Ability to work all required shifts (6:00am to 2:00pm, 2:00pm to 10:00pm, weekdays, weekends, and holidays)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English
  • A flexible, willing, and positive attitude
  • Intermediate First Aid Certification
