Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Oncology Clinic

What you’ll do
  1. Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures, ensuring comfort and proper positioning.
  2. Set up examination rooms, including sterilizing and organizing instruments and supplies.
  3. Assist medical staff during physical examinations, handling instruments and specimens appropriately.
  4. Perform nursing procedures such as dressings, catheterizations, and vital signs, reporting any issues to staff.
  5. Handle clerical duties like scheduling, filing, and managing reports using various software.
  6. Maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment, reporting malfunctions.
  7. Support patients with daily activities, providing personal care and comfort measures, including feeding and positioning.
What you bring
  • Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program or equivalent experience.
  • Current licensure with the BC College of Nurses & Midwives.
Skills and qualities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well with others and organize tasks efficiently.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous cultural safety and commitment to reconciliation efforts.
