Do you have a passion for nursing? We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Ksyen Regional Hospital, delivering compassionate patient care.
In accordance with Northern Health’s mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities, the LPN promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff. Reporting to the Program Lead or Designate, the LPN provides nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents according to established policies, procedures, and Standards of Practice for LPNs in British Columbia.
The LPN functions as an independent practitioner, recognizing situations such as increased patient acuity or care outside the LPN scope, and collaborates with RNs/RPNs for support or intervention. The role includes assisting patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs, developing care plans, conducting assessments, implementing interventions, documenting, and advocating for patients/residents. The LPN participates in meetings, care conferences, and assists with orientation of new staff and students. They respond to incidents per procedures and perform clerical duties as needed.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, Rotating
Ksyen Regional Hospital
The new Ksyen Regional Hospital, opened November 24, 2024, features 82 beds, private rooms, and specializes in trauma, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, and pharmacy. It is a training site for medical students.
Terrace
Terrace offers northern living with mountains, rivers, lakes, and streams. The community has a population of approximately 12,700, with schools and colleges, making it an ideal place to experience outdoor activities and community life.
