Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at The Rotary Manor.

In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Tertiary Care works as a member of the mental health services team in a collaborative nursing model with RNs and RPNs. The LPN Tertiary Care performs assessments and plans, implements, and provides personal and nursing care services to clients, both in their homes and in the community, who have various mental health disorders. The LPN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), conforming to established policies, procedures, standards, and philosophies of Northern Health.

Shift Rotation / Hours of Work: Days, Evenings - 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, rotating.

New Wage: As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is $32.84 - $41.35 / hour.

The Rotary Manor Complex consists of two buildings; the main area and the three-story tower are joined by a glassed walkway. All areas are bright with natural sunlight and pleasant décor. It has 115 publicly subsidized beds, two private rooms for respite care, and two private rooms for community palliative needs. The facility offers various activities during the day, including programs with school children, singers, musicians, and church groups, integrated with the recreation program.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
