A regional healthcare provider is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team in Vanderhoof. The LPN will provide compassionate care, support patients, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment. Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Stuart Nechako Manor. The LPN works within a client and family centered care model and follows the standards, scope and code of ethics as outlined by BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and the vision and values of Northern Health. Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor or designate, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the LPN applies the Nursing Process, performs assessments, plans, provides nursing care, and may provide direction to other staff. The LPN operates in accordance with the Entry to Practice Competencies, Scope of Practice and Standards of Practice as outlined by BCCNM, within a client and family centered care model and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols. The LPN will support clients and families to achieve and maintain optimal health by performing the following duties and responsibilities.
07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, rotating shifts.
Stuart Nechako Manor has 45 publicly subsidized beds, 12 beds for dementia residents and 2 Short Stay Beds used for Respite and Palliative needs. It offers a mix of single and double occupancy rooms, Recreational Therapy Services 5 days a week, on-site pastoral and spiritual care, a Volunteer Program to support residents, on-site hairdressing/barber services, and an integrated community adult day program (3 days a week).
Vanderhoof has a population of about 4,500 (2021), located in the Nechako Valley along the Nechako River, offering rural living near the province\'s heartland.
