AWS is looking for the right individuals for the Licensed Practical Nurse position in Alberta and Saskatchewan. LPN may work in a variety of health care settings including hospitals, homecare, community health centers, continuing care facilities, clinics, urgent care centers, and in clients’ homes.


AWS is looking to fill temporary positions to meet the healthcare system's immediate needs.


Duties:

  • Take and record vital signs, collect various samples, dress wounds, monitor progress, and report reactions to treatment, as well as educate patients and families.
  • Advocate for patient needs and take appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of those in their care.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, and the health care team to provide high-quality treatment and care to Albertans.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Nursing program.
  • Current AHS employees will not be considered for this position.
  • Active registration or willingness to register prior to the placement date is required.
  • Vulnerable sector search proof not older than 90 days.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualification

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Available to work days, nights, evenings, and weekends for 8 and 12 hours shift.
  • Drivers license (preferred).

$35.00-$50.00 per hour
