A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Meadow Ridge Seniors Village. In keeping with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Park Place, the LPN, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, uses the nursing process and applies his/her nursing knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment in performing assessments, planning, implementing, and providing quality and person-centered nursing care to the Residents. The LPN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice as outlined by the relevant provincial governing body’s practice standards and Code of Ethics and Park Place policies and procedures. The LPN practices in a setting where the client care needs are established and changes in health condition are predictable and ensures a commitment to Park Place’s “culture of safety.”
Respects and advocates for Residents’ rights by:
Understands and applies the Code of Ethics for LPN/RPN to guide decision-making and behavior.
Performs and maintains accurate records of controlled medications, reports adverse reactions and medication errors, and evaluates nursing procedures such as assessments, vital signs, activities of daily living, elimination, nutrition, wound care, palliative, and post-mortem care, in accordance with provincial competencies.
