Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the team at Minoru Residence in Richmond, BC. If you are a dedicated healthcare worker who enjoys working within an interdisciplinary care team, and thrive in both independent and collaborative environments, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team, performing full scope of practical nursing functions for clients with predictable outcomes within a designated area of specialty.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document client care; provide support to clients and their families.
  • Support Registered Nurses in caring for clients with unpredictable outcomes or complex needs, under general supervision, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills beyond the typical scope of Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Maintain and advance clinical competence according to BCCNM standards for Licensed Practical Nurses.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Graduation from a recognized Practical Nursing program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others.
  • Physical ability to perform duties.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
Additional Information

The hours of work, including days off and work area, may change based on operational needs and collective agreement provisions. All healthcare workers in publicly-funded facilities must report their vaccination and infection history for safety and outbreak management purposes. This information will be required during onboarding.
