We are currently hiring for twotemporary Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)positions at ourVillage at Mill Creek (VMC)community in Kelowna:

Temp LPN | 0.88 FTE (approx. 33 hours/week) | Evening Shifts

Temp LPN | 0.87 FTE (approx. 32.75 hours/week) | Mixed Day & Evening Shifts

These roles are ideal for LPNs who are passionate about delivering person - centred care while working in a purpose-driven, team-based environment.

About The Role

As an LPN, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care that upholds the dignity and wellness of every resident. You will work closely with Registered Nurses, Care Aides, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Your clinical skill, professionalism, and dedication will support both the physical and emotional well-being of residents in our community.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with RNs to deliver comprehensive care and support for residents with varying health needs
  • Administer medications and perform assessments in alignment with best practices and clinical standards
  • Contribute to wellness-focused initiatives and individualized care planning
  • Use platforms like PointClickCare and EMAR to maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Foster relationships with residents and their families, demonstrating empathy, respect, and servant leadership
  • Lead by example, encouraging teamwork and a culture of care and safety
  • Promote infection control practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols

Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma
  • Current registration in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • CPR Level C and First Aid certification
  • Experience in long-term care or assisted living is an asset
  • Strong communication, clinical assessment, and documentation skills
  • A commitment to Baptist Housing’s values and a servant leadership approach to care
  • Availability to work consistent evenings and/or rotating shifts depending on the assigned FTE line

You understand the aging process and are skilled in supporting individuals living with chronic illness, dementia, and other complex conditions. You lead with empathy, advocate for resident wellness, and find joy in serving others.

Compensation & Benefits

Level 3 LPNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $32.84 - $41.35as detailed in theProvincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement. You will be welcomed into a warm and supportive workplace, along with professional growth opportunities, and meaningful recognition.
