Job description

LPN required for in clinic setting, hours are 9am-5pm.

Healthquest knowledge a must.

Supervision/ management skills an asset.

Job tasks would include, but not be limited to:

Taking vitals, helping with minor surgical procedure as needed. Answers all telephone and intercom calls promptly, triage patients and calls and answers inquiries, relays messages, refers callers to appropriate person

Room patients for complete exam and assist doctors when necessary for PAP, Exams, small procedures, prenatal forms, Driver medical forms, etc.

Recall patients for follow up (work list) when requested by doctors

Mat supervise MOA’s staff and ensure they are following clinic work flow and procedures;

Verify doctors schedule on EMR to ensure it is correct following Operations Manager Schedule

Inform operations manager about any problems in the clinic.

Sterilize material following clinic standards

Ensure treatment room is always organized, clean and ready for the next procedure

Verify medications expirations

Ensure allergy kit is up dated.

Prepare and submit end of day report

Ensure clinic is open and closed properly following clinic’s procedures.

Verify blood pressure, temperature, measurements.

Retrieves reports and reads or faxes to physicians as required.

Adheres and respect company’ policies

Picks up, sorts and distributes incoming mail/fax messages.

Sorts and distributes imaging reports for mail, in house delivery or courier pickup.

Prepare month order for medical and office supplies in a timely manner.

Orient new staff with clinic policies, EMR, workflow and doctor’s procedures preferences.

Keeps work area neat and tidy and in a hazard free condition.

Receives all requisitions and ensures that the information provided is complete and correct.

Receives monies from patients paying for exams.

Greets patient in reception area in a warm, respectful manner.

Confirms patient information is correct.

Attends to every detail of patient comfort.

Answers questions or concerns regarding examination and process

Provides a positive and caring attitude to all patients attending the clinic.

Ensures confidentiality in regards to patients and their illnesses, treatment and diagnosis. Remains respectful and professional at all times.
