Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Long-Term Care in Cumberland, BC. Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
• MHSU positions also require additional education as outlined by BCCNM for practice where Mental Health and/or Substance Use disorders are the primary diagnosis.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager or designate and in collaboration as a member of a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to complex but stable residents /clients. Performs assessments, plans and provides personal care, and performs nursing procedures. The Licensed Practical Nurse operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, and according to agency operating policies and standards and unit specific protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience
