About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practical Nurse Instructor to teach Theory, Lab, and/or Clinicalswith experience in Acute, Maternity, mental health etc. This position offers an opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of nursing professionals through engaging and comprehensive instruction.
This role offers 28-35 hours per week and has the potential to lead to future instructional opportunities, advancing your career in education.
Rate Range: $34.60-46.50/hour
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality instruction in theory, lab, and clinical settings.
- Execute lesson plans that align with curriculum requirements as per PTIRU compliance. - Extensive in-house curriculum orientation and training provided.
- Provide hands-on training and supervision in clinical environments.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.
Qualifications:- Current Full registration with the BCCNM - required.
- Minimum 3,900 hours of nursing experience, including acute care.
- Previous instructor experience is an asset.
- Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems (SIS) is an asset.
- Strong communication and mentorship skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
