We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with exceptional clinical and critical thinking skills, along with the adaptability and enthusiasm to excel in our Acute Surgical Unit. LPNs in this area are responsible for providing safe and effective nursing care in accordance with RAH and AHS policies and procedures. This LPN position requires performing moderate to heavy work regularly to ensure safe patient care and unit safety. All staff assist with mobilization of patients with various ambulation needs and disabilities. You will work independently under the supervision of a Charge RN and are expected to direct and monitor the care provided by HCAs. In the Patient Care Unit (PCU) 24 at RAH, you will find a supportive and cohesive team that fosters professional growth and development.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional healthcare team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level, and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care while embodying the shared vision and values of AHS.
