Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, an LPN performs as a licensed caregiver, responsible for assigned residents / patients during a shift. Nursing care involves coordinating, implementing, and evaluating each resident’s / patient’s plan of care, managing the environment for safety, and supervising nursing assistants. All duties follow the standards of care per the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience

  • Licensed in the State as an LPN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to use necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Meet all health requirements imposed by law
  • Positive, effective communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English; basic computer skills with aptitude to learn company applications
