Overview

We are currently hiring Casual Licensed Practical Nurses in Maple Ridge.

You will use evidence-informed nursing knowledge, skill and judgment and work within the LPN scope of practice to provide holistic nursing care to meet the physical, safety, emotional and spiritual needs of clients and their families in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include providing high-quality, home-based nursing care within LPN scope of practice, contributing to individualized care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to meet client needs in community settings.

Qualifications
  • Current registration with BCCNM
  • Comfortable working in Maple Ridge and Port Moody
  • Knowledge of postoperative wound care (an asset)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of patient care requirements and nursing care planning and process; ability to use problem-solving
  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to function independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated computer literacy; knowledge of Electronic Patient Record documentation systems
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (minimum)
  • Ability to perform general LPN duties and utilize current technology for care delivery and documentation
  • Willingness to travel between and work at all homes and institutions as required
