Enjoy flexible scheduling options, including full-time and part-time positions, as you engage with a vibrant community of cadets. Join a dynamic interdisciplinary team and make a meaningful impact this summer while gaining invaluable experience in a supportive environment.
Every summer, cadets from across Canada participate in courses at Cadet Summer Training Centres, where they develop leadership skills, resilience, and personal growth. To support their health and well-being, Calian is recruiting primary care physicians, paramedics, practical nurses, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses to join our team.
Position Overview
As a valued part of a larger interdisciplinary team, Practical Nurses run routine medical clinics, responding to urgent and ongoing health concerns. In this role you will conduct assessments, dispense medications, liaise with other health providers, and provide health education and support.
These roles are best suited to nurses looking to do something a little different this summer! You’ll have the opportunity to work with kids and teens (ages 12-18), supporting them with homesickness, Poison Ivy exposure and everything in between. We can offer flexible scheduling including full-time, part-time and casual roles, and of course the opportunity to return the following year. Summer Training sessions typically run for July and August, 6 or 7 days per week.
Interested in knowing more? Please submit your resume and a recruiter will be in touch to arrange a preliminary phone call. Details including exact location of the Training Centres, compensation, and schedule will be provided.
