POSITION SUMMARY

An Integrated and Wholistic Approach to Health Care Delivery

Located on Treaty 4 Territory in the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley, the All Nations’ Healing Hospital (ANHH) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the hemodialysis team for expansion of services.

  • Under the direction of the Unit Coordinator, and as part of a multidisciplinary and high functioning team, the LPN provides culturally responsive kidney care services within the Satellite Hemodialysis unit of the Pasikow Muskwa Rising Bear Healing Centre.
  • The LPN assists in patient assessment, teaching, planning and evaluation of hemodialysis treatment and holistic kidney care.
  • The LPN works collaboratively with all departments of ANHH, the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) Health Services, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) to further promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing and a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.

  • ANHH is a facility that qualifies under the Government of Saskatchewan’s Loan Forgiveness for Nurses and Nurse Practitioners program

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan (CLPNS)
  • Indigenous and rural healthcare experience an asset
  • Hemodialysis Certification with recent in-center dialysis experience is an asset. Training is available for otherwise qualified individuals
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an inter-professional setting, including strong teamwork, communication skills, and trauma-informed approaches to practice
