As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Senior Helpers Vancouver, you will play a critical role in delivering personalized care and support to our clients.
Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate, detail-oriented, and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide hands-on nursing care, health monitoring, and support for seniors and clients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. You will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, wound care, and other medical procedures as required.
  • Assist with tube feeding, catheter care, and respiratory support as needed.
  • Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Conduct health assessments and monitor changes in the client’s condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  • Coordinate and communicate with families, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and charting of client care and services provided.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients and their families.
  • Follow and adhere to all health and safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and best practices in home health care.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Active LPN License in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (current and valid).
  • Experience in senior care, home care, or community care is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare protocols, infection control, and personal hygiene practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a care team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting, transferring, and assisting clients with mobility.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset but not required.
