Job summary

Youville Home, part of Covenant Health Canada, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an on-site role in St. Albert. The LPN will join a multidisciplinary care team to deliver compassionate, holistic care to residents in continuing care, including evenings and weekend shifts.

The position requires active LPN registration with CLHA, completion of a Practical Nursing program, and at least 1 year of relevant continuing care experience. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program and active registration with CLHA.
• Minimum of 1 year LPN experience in Continuing Care within the past 2 years.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
• Connect Care experience is preferred.

Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the USW Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year LPN experience in Continuing Care within the past 2 years. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
