Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Grande Prairie is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an interprofessional health care team at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. You will deliver safe, high-quality patient and family-centred care guided by standards, policies and procedures.

Current or eligible LPN registration with CLHA and BCLS-HCP are required, with prior acute medical/surgical experience and familiarity with Connect Care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
• Recent experience in acute Medical or Surgical setting.
• Familiarity with Connect Care and asset.

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
