Covenant Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton. The role supports a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, quality care and leads in collaboration with others.

The position is covered by AUPE auxiliary nursing terms and offers regular part-time hours. The LPN works to the full scope of practice, maintains patient safety, and contributes to the unit’s care plan within 7E Medicine.

• Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent.
• Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required.Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 6 months of full-time equivalent acute medicine experience within the past two years or a completed final preceptorship on a Medicine unit within the last year.

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent assessment and organizational skills.
