MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome all customers and set expectations
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
  • Act as a leader in optical knowledge
  • Take and record measurements; accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail; ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
  • Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions
  • Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressures and customer volume; possess exceptional product knowledge and use appropriate tools
  • Be proactive in exploring root causes of issues; forward-thinking; ensure customer satisfaction and exceed expectations; solution-oriented
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively with competing priorities
  • Achieve results on brand KPIs and competencies
  • Maintain store appearance; keep the store clean, attractive, and organized
  • Report safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices
  • Be resourceful and self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning, improvement, and results
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Optical dispensing experience
  • Strong customer service skills : communication, listening, and team building
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Selling skills, including ability to use and carry an iPad / tablet
  • Familiarity with POS systems, computers, and calculators
  • Willingness to embrace new technology and change
