What You’ll Do :
As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for :
Reviewing Applications & Recommending Solutions Assess new applications with a strategic lens, evaluating client goals, documentation, and credit profiles to recommend appropriate lending solutions that align with both client needs and lender criteria.
Securing Approvals Package and structure files for approval by submitting complete applications with detailed, thorough notes. Leverage your understanding of lender guidelines to ensure clarity, minimize conditions, and support a smooth approval process.
Pipeline & CRM Management Maintain accurate, organized records in our CRM to ensure every application is efficiently tracked, managed, and progressed through each stage of the underwriting process.
Collaborate with Industry Partners Work closely with lenders, lawyers, appraisers, and other key stakeholders to facilitate smooth, timely closings and ensure each application is processed accurately and efficiently.
Closing Applications Apply your mortgage expertise to assess, structure, and approve files efficiently — ensuring each application meets lender guidelines and moves smoothly from submission to funding with accuracy and speed.
Maintaining Compliance Standards Ensure every application aligns with regulatory and lender requirements by consistently applying FSRA guidelines and internal compliance protocols throughout the underwriting process.
What We’re Looking For :
FSRA Level 2 Mortgage Agent License (Ontario) Minimum 2 years of sub-prime mortgage underwriting experience, preferably with a Brokerage Thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment with clear systems, support, and expectations Strong communicator with a client-first mindset and emotional intelligence Proficient with technology and confident using CRMs and other digital tools Committed to full-time, in-office work (40 Hours a Week)
Compensation Type : Salary + Bonus
On-Target Earnings : $76,800 – $100,000+ per year
