Job summary

Powell Contracting, a division of Ramudden Global North America, seeks two licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technicians for its Stouffville team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks, trailers, and related equipment on a day or night shift with competitive hourly rates.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation. Strong safety focus and ability to work independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario 310T Truck & Coach Technician license required.
• Minimum two years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and trailers.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.

We are currently seeking two (2) licensed 310T Truck & Coach Technicians to join our team in Stouffville.

Available Shifts

Day Shift

• Rate: $39.91 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Night Shift

• Rate: $45.41 per hour
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the 310T Truck & Coach Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining heavy trucks, trailers, cranes, and other heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy trucks, trailers, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain issues.
• Complete work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide regular updates to the Foreman regarding repair status, parts requirements, and completion timelines.
• Conduct operational testing and road tests, where applicable, to verify equipment performance and safety prior to returning assets to service.
• Safely operate diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and manufacturer software to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently to meet operational and service deadlines.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable safety standards, legislation, and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario 310T Truck & Coach Technician License (required).
• Minimum two (2) years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and trailers.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy components and working in various environmental conditions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Assets

• Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician License.
• Experience maintaining and repairing mobile cranes or other specialized heavy equipment.
• Valid G Driver's Licence; DZ or AZ Licence considered a strong asset.
• Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and electronic maintenance management systems (CMMS).
