Job summary

Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA) is seeking licensed industrial electricians for a permanent full-time role in Simcoe, ON. The position offers growth opportunities in a safety-first environment with a strong team focus.

Qualifications

  • Licensed electrician (442A or 309A) active in good standing.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic systems preferred.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems per current electrical code.
  • Receive daily work orders and organize work to complete them efficiently.
  • Complete maintenance and repair documents.
  • Prioritize safety and maintain a clean workspace at all times.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty machinery components including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical parts.
  • Interpret schematics, manuals, and diagrams for pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Understand PLC programming and ladder logic for troubleshooting and installation work.
  • Troubleshoot PLC hardware using a laptop.
  • Install control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays and panels.
  • Connect wiring and hydraulic lines to components.
  • Comply with Ontario Electrical Safety Code and log activities.

Salary Range: $42.51 - $45.00

Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA) is a tier 1 automotive parts supplier to Toyota Manufacturing Facilities. TTCA is located in the heart of Norfolk County. We utilize state-of-the-art technology to ensure our automotive parts are assembled with a high degree of quality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for installing, maintaining and trouble shooting electrical systems in accordance with current electrical code.
  • Receive daily work orders and organize work in order to complete them in a expeditious manner, including determining the necessary materials and equipment.
  • Complete maintenance and repair documents.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to safety in the workplace and maintain a clean work area at all times.
  • Anticipate issues before they occur and have a solution- oriented approach to solve issues.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  • Understand and interpret schematic drawings and symbols, as well as manufacturers manuals and specifications and logic diagrams for pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Understand PLC programming and interpreting ladder logic for troubleshooting, revisions or new equipment installations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC hardware using a laptop computer.
  • Repair or replace defective parts; lubricate, inspect, clean machine parts as per PM procedures.
  • Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Connect wiring and hydraulic lines to install electrical and hydraulic components.
  • Comply with Ontario Electrical Safety Code regulations for installations and modifications. Log activities.
  • Have a basic understanding of OHSA regulations on machine safety devices and guarding. Understand and practice safe working procedures. Use personal protective equipment with lockout or isolation procedures as required. Understand the environmental aspects and impacts of maintenance duties and work towards reducing them. Use fall arrest and safe work practices at elevated heights.
  • Ability to communicate openly and clearly with fellow team members, read, write, understand specific work instructions and procedures.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned to meet departmental responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Certificate of Qualification – 442A or 309A -Active member within good standings of Skilled Trades Canada.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic systems preferred.
  • Good hand-eye coordination with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule and overtime as required.
Job Summary Shifts
  • 2 Shift (Days, Afternoons)
  • 3 Shift (Days, Afternoons Midnights)
  • Bi-weekly rotation
  • 8-10-hour shifts required.
  • 40 hours per week – over time as required
