310T Heavy Duty Technician

Cote Gold - Kal Tire is Canada's largest independent tire dealer and one of North America's largest commercial tire dealers. Our Mining Tire Group is a leader in mining tire service and supply, servicing over 150 mine sites across five continents.

The Cote Gold Project is located in the Chester and Yeo Townships, District of Sudbury, northeastern Ontario, approximately 20 km southwest of Gogama, 130 km southwest of Timmins, and 200 km northwest of Sudbury. The area features gentle hills, forests, lakes, and rivers, situated on two subwatersheds: the Mollie River system and the Mesomikenda River system. The continental watershed divide is south of the project, more than 3.5 km from the proposed open-pit location.

This position offers a 2-week in, 2-week out schedule (potentially changing to 1 week in, 1 week out) under an averaging agreement. The role requires candidates to be based out of Timmins, Sudbury, or North Bay (including surrounding areas). Cote will provide camp and bus transportation from muster points in Sudbury, Timmins (Kal Tire), and Gogama.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs on a wide range of vehicles in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, automotive service, and general maintenance on vehicles.
  • Assist in identifying potential mechanical opportunities with the Sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Certified with 310T Automotive Service Technician or licensed Mechanic.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignment.
  • Proficient in inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, and repairs on various vehicles.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment involving heavy lifting and movement.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a safety-focused environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
