Seaboard Tire Service in Port Hawkesbury, NS is hiring a Licensed Mechanic to join our family-owned team. The role focuses on advising customers, performing wheel alignments, and repairs with a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism.

The successful candidate will hold a motor vehicle repair trade certification, possess a valid driver's license, and be willing to learn wheel alignment techniques. We offer training, a clean work environment, and year-round work in a supportive shop.

Qualifications

• Must hold Motor Vehicle Repairer / Service station mechanic trade certification.
• Driver's license required.
• Willingness to learn wheel alignments; training provided.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on work required and safety procedures.
• Adjust, repair or replace automotive components as needed.
• Perform wheel alignments as a primary task.
• Review work orders with supervisor and customers and test drive vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and perform annual vehicle inspections.

Join us today as we are currently hiring a LicensedMechanic based in Port Hawkesbury, NS.

Hours

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Core Job Functions

• Work in accordance with all safety procedures,standardsand regulations
• Communicate with and advise customers on work required
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Perform wheel alignments as a primary responsibility
• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor and customers
• Road Test vehicles
• Perform maintenance tasks and maintaincleanwork area
• Annual motor vehicle inspections

Job Requirements

• Motor Vehicle Repairer / Service station mechanic trade certification
• Drivers License required
• Ability and willingness to learn and perform wheel alignments; training will be provided
• Exceptional mechanical knowledge
• High degree of professionalism
• Additional assets include knowledge of engine diagnostics
