Job summary

OPENLANE in Brampton, ON, is seeking a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and safety inspections. The role involves repair work, post-sale inspections, and mentoring apprentices. You will use your expertise in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on a variety of vehicles, with potential Saturday shifts. A valid driver’s license and strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification or 310S in Ontario is required.
• Experience repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems across various vehicles.
• Dealer/contracted shop experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work Saturdays if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repair and maintenance including brakes, exhaust, alignments, and A/C services.
• Conduct pre/post-sale inspections and safety checks ensuring compliance.
• Inspect frames and undercarriages for damage and safe operation.
• Lead or mentor apprentices; assist with parts sourcing and quotes.
• Document work orders, repairs, and diagnostics clearly.
